HOW IT BEGAN

Milgayi is the result of a vision born over 2 years ago, when Indian-born Sudeepa Khanna developed a compilation of her favorite ‘Indian’ web sites while shopping for her brother’s wedding. It was then she realized how painful traditional Internet ‘search’ really was… keep digging through pages of search results or try to remember every popular designer you’ve heard about.

Recognizing that there are millions of people for whom, time is an invaluable commodity, Sudeepa decided to create a web site where South Asians could browse or shop for whatever they wanted within one location, thus proving to be time saving and convenient. Sudeepa knew that MILGAYI could help answer “Where can I find some cute new Indian clothes?” question that she heard numerous times from her social circle.

Hence, MILGAYI was born.
